Marshall Furr

Marshall Furr, an aged resident of Fountain county, died December 15 at his home in Kingman after a few days illness. He was born on Scott's Prairie in the southern part of this county February 11 1841, being 87 years, 10 months and 4 days old at the time of his death. His parents William and Elizabeth Booe Furr, were among the pioneer settlers in the county. He was married to Miss Nancy E. Wilson on October 2 1865, and they were the parents of three daughters and five sons: Eleanor Etta, Samantha, Eva Arena, Thos. N., John E., Charles A., William and Luke Evertt. They resided on a farm near Kingman until about 20 years ago, when they moved to Kingman. His wife died and he was married a second time to Mrs. Clara Keller, who survives.
